Who We Are

Welcome to A Sea of Learning PTO!

We believe that everyone has something valuable to contribute whether it’s organizing events, spreading the word online, fundraising, or donating items. Every bit of your help contributes to building an amazing learning environment for our students. So, it’s less about obligation and more about building a vibrant community around the school. There are a variety of ways to get involved and we would love to have your help as we all work together, helping to create an amazing learning environment. We fully understand that life is busy. But we encourage you to not only support the PTO, but to also volunteer on one of our many committees.

A Sea of Learning PTO Mission Statement:

The A Sea of Learning (ASOL) Parent Teacher Organization exists to see the parents, teachers and staff of ASOL connect and partner together to create unique opportunities for our students. The PTO sponsors, organizes, and supports school events, fundraising efforts, and enrichment programs that enhance our children's educational, social, and spiritual experiences. Our main goal is to create a school community where teachers, administrators, and our children can do their best work.

Communications

Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms; Develop and maintain a content calendar and promote PTO events, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities and
other opportunities through social media channels and/or

Constant Contact.

Beautification

Work with the school to identify areas of school grounds that require beautification or improvement. Plan projects such as landscaping, planting, painting, signage and maintenance

of outdoor spaces.

Spirit Night

Plan and organize spirit nights with local businesses or restaurants. Coordinate with venues regarding logistics and scheduling, and work with the communications chair to
promote events.

Booster Club

Help kick off the school year with a monetary donation to the PTO; Giving goes towards showing appreciation to teachers and staff throughout the school year.

Community Service

Work with school staff to designate non-profit organization(s) and/or project(s) for students and school to serve; Establish communication between organization and school to meet needs and deadlines; Create opportunities for students of all grades to become active in the service projects; Community Service outreach takes place twice a year.

Book Fair

Coordinate with school & Teacher’s Pet

to secure books for sale; Set up shopping
area; Help students select books and collect money from book sales; Book fairs take place twice a school year.

Fall Festival

Help set-up booths and other activity stations during the school day; Solicit items
for silent auction and cake walk; Organize donation of fall themed decor, prizes and candy; Help clean up the day of and/or day after event.

Spirit Wear

Identify vendor to assist in creating designs and apparel types; Work with vendor to establish an online store; Create spirit wear order forms and communicate sale dates;
Coordinate distribution.

Staff Appreciation

Assist with staff luncheons, appreciation events and holidays by soliciting and organizing donated items; Help set up and clean up events that take place on school property.

Theater

Create sponsorship packages; Assist with fundraising; Label and organize costumes; Assist with set development; Help set up and clean up before and after performance.
